River Road Widening, Phase I and II

Phase I - Ditch enclosure and preload, preload to remain for 10 weeks.

Phase II - Preload removal and road construction.

The work consists of the supply and installation of materials, including all labour, equipment, plant and tools related to the construction of approximately 177 metres of 900mm diameter storm sewer complete with manholes, catchbasins and service connections including excavation for 525 lm of road widening and placement of road structure subbase and preload for Phase II road construction. This contract also includes transfer of a portion of existing preload for construction of driveways on-site and removal of the remainder to the Contractor’s stockpile for his own use, supply and placement of 19mm crushed granular base for road base construction, milling, paving, pavement markings, topsoil, hydraulic seeding and construction of a vegitated channel.
