Client:
Viterra Inc.
Location:
Vancouver, BC

In May 2014, JJM Construction Ltd. (JJM) was awarded a contract from Viterra Inc. to perform dredging works at their Pacific Terminal Basin at the Port of Vancouver.

The work consisted of removal of materials contained within the Pacific Terminal Basin to create a minimum -45 foot depth basin. JJM removed and loaded approximately 3,000 m³ of contaminated soils and transported the contaminated materials to an off-load facility and licensed disposal facility. In addition, JJM loaded approximately 8,250 m³ of clean sediment, subgrade till and bedrock which were then disposed of in a designated ocean disposal site then the hard till and bedrock was removed.

A final phase of this project was completed in the summer of 2016. JJM loaded and disposed of approximately 13,000 m³ of bedrock.
