Westminster Highway Culvert Replacement

This project included the replacement of the existing 25m long drainage culvert with twin SaniTite® pipes at the intersection of Westminster Highway and Gilley Road. Civil works also included the installation of 30m of twin 1200mm SaniTite® pipes, installation of 47m of twin 1500mm SaniTite® pipes, installation of 37m of 1200mm SaniTite® pipes; installation of connections as required; the removal and/or installation of manholes; installation of two Pro-Eco-Lite headwalls; and the removal and disposal of indicated sections of the existing storm box culvert. 


We also filled abandoned utilities with Light Weight Fill, foam or approved alternatives; excavated along existing storm sewer pipes and lane closures at Westminster Highway and Gilley Road; and removed and disposed of contaminated soils. JJM also provided Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) soil oversight and soil disposal unit rates, soil disposal destination, and soil disposal volumes; and Roadworks.

This was a busy site with multiple contractors, including commercial development at an adjacent property, requiring careful coordination and extensive communication.
